Holman Bible Dictionary
(sshihc' rahn) Place name meaning, “henbane” (a type of nightshade plant). Border town of tribe of Judah (Joshua 15:11 ). It may be located at tell el-Ful north of the Soreq River and three and a half miles northwest of Ekron.
