Holman Bible Dictionary
(sshihl' hi) Personal name meaning, “He sent me,” “Salach (underworld god or river) has me,” or “my offshoot.” A similar formation has been found at tell Arad. Maternal grandfather of King Jehoshaphat (1 Kings 22:42 ).
