(sshih mih' ath) Personal name meaning, “hearing.” Parent of court official who murdered King Joash about 796 B.C. (2 Kings 12:21 ). 2 Chronicles 24:26 takes the apparently feminine form of the Hebrew name and identifies the parent as an Ammonite woman.
