Holman Bible Dictionary
(ssiht' nuh) A well Isaac's servants dug in the area of Gerar (Genesis 26:21 ). The well was seized by the servants of Abimelech. Therefore, the name of the well meaning “hatred” or “opponent.” See Wells.
