Sorek
Holman Bible Dictionary
(ssoh' rehk) Place name meaning, “red grape.” A valley on the western side of Palestine. It runs from near Jerusalem toward the Mediterranean Sea. Beth-shemesh guarded the eastern end, while the Philistines controlled the western portion during the era of the judges. Delilah, Samson's mistress, lived in the valley of Sorek (Judges 16:4 ).
