Holman Bible Dictionary

The flesh of a wild animal taken by hunting (Genesis 25:28; “game,” NAS, NRSV; “wild game,” NIV). The word is only used in the narrative of Jacob's stealing Esau's birthright. Isaac preferred Esau because of his love of wild game.
