Holman Bible Dictionary
An unclean animal (Leviticus 11:29 ). Some translations see this animal as the “mole” (NAS) or “mole-rat” (REB). It may be a member of the mole family (palax Sehrenberg;) found in many countries, including Palestine. See Animals .
