(zac' chuhr) Personal name meaning, “well remembered.” 1. Father of Shammua of the tribe of Reuben (Numbers 13:4 ). 2 . Descendant of Mishma of the tribe of Simeon (1 Chronicles 4:26 ). 3 . Descendant of Merari among the Levites (1 Chronicles 24:27 ). 4 . Son of Asaph (1 Chronicles 25:2; Nehemiah 12:35 ). 5 . Son of Imri who helped Nehemiah rebuild the walls of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 3:2 ). 6 . One who sealed the covenant of reform during the time of Ezra and Nehemiah (Nehemiah 10:12 ). Father of Hanan, one of the treasurers appointed by Nehemiah (Nehemiah 13:13 ).
