(zoh' hahr) Personal name perhaps meaning, “witness.” 1. Hittite (Genesis 23:8; Genesis 25:9 ). 2 . Son of Simeon (Genesis 46:10; Exodus 6:15 ), also called Zerah (Numbers 26:13; 1 Chronicles 4:24 ). 3 . Descendant of Judah according to the traditional marginal correction (Qere) at 1 Chronicles 4:24 . The Hebrew text reads Izhar.
