Allar

Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible

ALLAR ( 1Es 5:36 ). One of the leaders of those Jews who could not show their pedigree as Israelites at the return from captivity under Zerubbabel. The name seems to correspond to Immer in Ezra 2:59 , Nehemiah 7:61 , one of the places from which these Jews returned. In 1 Es ‘Cherub, Addan, and Immer’ appear as ‘Charaathalan leading them and Allar.’
