Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible
BROID . To broid or to braid is to plait. Both spellings are used in AV [Note: Authorized Version.] , 1 Timothy 2:9 ‘with broided hair’ (Gr. ‘in plaits’), Jdt 10:3 ‘braided the hair of her head.’
