Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible

ELASAH (‘God hath made’). 1. One of those who had married a foreign wife ( Ezra 10:22 ). 2. The son of Shaphau, who, along with Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, carried a message from king Zedekiah to Babylon ( Jeremiah 29:3 ).
