Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible
MEBUNNAI. The name in 2 Samuel 23:27 of one of David’s thirty heroes. It is a scribal error for Sibbecai , the form which has been preserved in the parallel lists, 1 Chronicles 11:29; 1 Chronicles 27:11 , and also 2 Samuel 21:18 = 1 Chronicles 20:4 .
