Paltite, the
Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible
PALTITE, THE. A native of Beth-pelet in the Negeb of Judah ( Joshua 15:27 , Nehemiah 11:26 ). To this town belonged Helez, one of David’s thirty heroes ( 2 Samuel 23:26 ). In the parallel lists ( 1 Chronicles 11:27; 1 Chronicles 27:10 ) he is described, probably incorrectly, as ‘the Pelonite. ’
