Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible

ZENAS . A lawyer ( i.e. learned in Jewish law, cf. v. 8) whom St. Paul asks Titus to send to him from Crete, with Apoilos ( Titus 3:13 ). The name is perhaps a contraction from Zenodorus .
