FRINGE, n. frinj. L. frango, to break.

1. An ornamental appendage to the borders of garments or furniture, consisting of loose threads.

The golden fringe ev'n set the ground on flame.

2. Something resembling fringe an open broken border.

FRINGE, To adorn or border with fringe or a loose edging.
