1. Ancestor of some who returned from exile, some of whom had married strange wives. Ezra 2:19; Ezra 10:33; Nehemiah 7:22 .
2. One who assisted Ezra when he read the law. Nehemiah 8:4 .
3. A chief of the people who sealed the covenant. Nehemiah 10:18 .
