Morrish Bible Dictionary
Name given to Israel, probably signifying 'upright ones;' others prefer 'beloved of Jehovah.' Jehovah was the 'God of Jeshurun;' and Moses, 'king in Jeshurun.' Deuteronomy 32:15; Deuteronomy 33:5,26; Isaiah 44:2 .
