The ark was removed to the hill of the city and remained there many years (see ABINADAB). The city is also called KIRJATH in Joshua 18:28; KIRJATH-ARIM in Ezra 2:25; BAALAH in Joshua 15:9-11 , and BAALE OF JUDAH in 2 Samuel 6:2 . Identified by some with ruins at Erma, 31 46' N, 35 1' E .
