1910 New Catholic Dictionary
Area, 60,000 square miles; suffragan of Agra; entrusted to the Capuchins. Before its establishment as a diocese, 1886, known as the Vicariate Apostolic of Patna. Dr. Anastasius Hartman was the first vicar Apostolic, an office he held twice. See also:
