1910 New Catholic Dictionary

Missionary, born Rome, Italy, 1801; died Dublin, Ireland, 1848. Having entered Rosmini's Institute of Charity, he was sent with two companions to aid in the revival of Catholicity in England, where the labors of the Rosminians were crowned with success. While giving a mission in famine-stricken Ireland, Gentili died of fever.
