Archpresbytery
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
A peculiar form of diocesan organization, the last one of which, Altamura, in southern Italy, which dated from 1248, was ruled by an archpriest. It was elevated to the diocese of Altamura-Gravina-Acquaviva delle Fonti in 1986.
