Congregation of the Holy Union of the Sacred Heart
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
Founded in Douai, France, 1826, by Father Jean Baptiste Debrabant, for the education of youth. The congregation has about 80 houses, including schools and academies, in France, Belgium, England, Ireland, Italy, the West Indies, South America, and the United States. The mother-house is in Tournai, Belgium; the total number of religious is over 1,300.
