Dromore, Ireland, Diocese of
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
Comprises parts of Down, Armagh, and Antrim counties; suffragan of Armagh; founded 6th century by Saint Colman, first bishop. The ancient cathedral, taken by the Protestants, was burnt in 1641 by Irish insurgents, and later rebuilt.
