Green

1910 New Catholic Dictionary

In the liturgy, as in nature, a symbol of hope, life, and growth. This color denotes that through Christ is born the hope of salvation, and that after the winter, which preceded Christ's coming, the green springtime of grace has begun for souls. It is the color for the ordinary Sundays and for week days when the Sunday Mass is repeated.
