Holy Souls
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
The souls of the departed dying in the grace of God, but still, for certain faults, in purgatory. They are the object of prayers for their release, and also of prayers for their intercession on our behalf, especially on All Souls' Day and during the entire month of November.
