James Thompson, Blessed
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
Martyr, died York, England, 1582. He studied at Cardinal Allen's college at Rheims, and by special dispensation received Holy Orders at Soissons, after one year. Sent on a mission to England, he was arrested at York, professed his priesthood, and was imprisoned, and hanged.
