1910 New Catholic Dictionary

(daybook or diary) Formulary of the chancery at Rome, composed between 685-752, containing forms for the composition of important letters and documents, for expediting important business, for consecration of pontiff and suburbicarian bishops, for granting privileges, etc. It was not in use after the 11th century.
