1910 New Catholic Dictionary

The doctrinal decree formulated against Arius by the First Council of Nicaea in 325 so called because it is composed in the form of a profession of faith. Drafted by Eusebius of Caesarea, it was accepted by the Council after some modifications had been made therein.
