Peltrie, Madeleine de La
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
A noble-woman noted for her charity; born Caen, France, 1603; died Quebec, Canada, 1677. She sailed to Quebec in 1639 and devoted herself and her fortune to the work of Marie de l'Incarnationat Quebec, though she never became a nun.
