Rescue, Crusade of
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
Charitable organization founded in England by Cardinal Vaughan to provide homes for destitute Catholic children. In 1928 there were 599 children in the Society's homes and the crusade was also responsible for 92 others in Canada.
