1910 New Catholic Dictionary

Martyr, died London, 1582. He was of an ancient family of County Lancaster, England, celebrated for its devotion to the Faith. Educated at Oxford, he studied for the priesthood at Douai, and was ordained, 1577. He was sent to England, where he was arrested, 1581, accused of complicity in the pretended Rheims and Rome plot, and hanged.
