Samuel Kitson

1910 New Catholic Dictionary

Sculptor, born Huddersfield, England, 1848; died New York, 1906. His artistic education was obtained at Leeds and in Rome, where his prizes included the papal gold medal. His notable creations included biblical and classical groups, portrait busts and spiritual compositions. He was converted to Catholicity in 1889.
