Secret in the Mass
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
The second of the three prayers of the Proper of the Mass, said by the celebrant in a low voice immediately after the prayer Orate, Fratres. The number of Secrets varies according to the number of feasts commemorated. It corresponds to the Collect and Postcommunion.
