Eshcol

Hawker's Poor Man's Concordance And Dictionary

This was a valley or brook, so called, in the south of Judah, and perhaps took its name from the clusters of grapes there abounding. The name Eshcol, indeed, means bunch of grapes. It was in this place the spies sent by Moses to search the land cut down one bunch, which required two men to carry. (See Numbers 13:23-24)

See Cluster.
