Gibeah (gĭb'e-ah), a hill. The name of several towns. 1. Gibeah in the hill-country of Judah. Joshua 15:57; now probably Jebah, ten miles north of Hebron. 2. Gibeah of Benjamin, 1 Samuel 13:2; first mentioned in Judges 19:1-30; a shameful crime by some of its people nearly destroyed the tribe of Benjamin. Judges 20:1-48; Judges 21:1-25. 3. Gibeah of Saul, probably the same as Gibeah of Benjamin.
