Mediator

People's Dictionary of the Bible

Mediator. One who interposes between two parties in order to bring them to agreement, or to a common purpose. Galatians 3:20. Moses so interposed between God and Israel. Exodus 20:19; Deuteronomy 5:5; Galatians 3:19. But the Lord Jesus Christ is the only mediator in the highest sense between God and man; so that we and this special designation given him. 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 8:6; Hebrews 9:15; Hebrews 12:24.
