Eshcol The Valley

Smith's Bible Dictionary

Esh'col, The Valley of. Or The Brook of Eshcol. A wady in the neighborhood of Hebron (Mamre), explored by the spies who were sent by Moses from Kadesh-barnea. Numbers 13:23-24; Deuteronomy 1:24. The name is still attached to a spring of fine water called 'Ain Eshkali, in a valley about two miles north of Hebron.
