Kedemoth

Smith's Bible Dictionary

Ked'emoth. (beginnings). One of the towns in the district east of the Dead Sea, allotted to the tribe of Reuben, Joshua 13:18, given by the Merarite Levites. Joshua 21:37; 1 Chronicles 6:79. It possibly conferred its name on the "wilderness," or uncultivated pasture land, "of Kedemoth." Numbers 21:33; Deuteronomy 2:26-27; etc.
