Shebam

Smith's Bible Dictionary

She'bam. (fragrance). One of the towns, in the pastoral district on the east of Jordan; demanded by, and finally ceded to, the tribes of Reuben and Gad. Numbers 32:3. It is probably the same as Shibmah, Numbers 32:38, and Sibmah. Joshua 13:13; Isaiah 16:8-9; Jeremiah 48:32. See Shibmah; Sibmah.
