Vine's Expository Dictionary of NT Words
Eng., "zone," denotes "a belt or girdle," Matthew 3:4; Mark 1:6; Acts 21:11; Revelation 1:13; 15:6; it was often hollow, and hence served as a purse, Matthew 10:9; Mark 6:8 .
