Vine's Expository Dictionary of NT Words

1: σανδάλιον

(Strong's #4547 — — sandalion — san-dal'-ee-on )

a diminutive of sandalon, probably a Persian word, Mark 6:9; Acts 12:8 . The "sandal" is usually had a wooden sole bound on by straps round the instep and ankle.
