"to be about (to be or do)," is used of purpose, certainty, compulsion or necessity. It is rendered simply by "shall" or "should" (which frequently represent elsewhere part of the future tense of the verb) in the following (the RV sometimes translates differently, as noted): Matthew 16:27 (1st part), lit., "is about to come;" Matthew 17:12,22; 20;22 , RV, "am about;" Matthew 24:6; Mark 13:4 (2nd part), RV "are about;" Luke 9:44; 21:7 (2nd part), RV, "are about;" Luke 21:36; Acts 23:3; 24:15; 26:2 , RV, "I am (to);" Romans 4:24; 8:13 (1st part), RV, "must;" Romans 8:18; 2 Timothy 4:1; Hebrews 1:14; 10:27; James 2:12 , RV, "are to;" 1 Peter 5:1; Revelation 1:19; 2:10 (1st and 2nd parts), RV, "art about," "is about;" Revelation 3:10 , RV, "is (to);" Revelation 17:8 (1st part), RV, "is about."
