Vine's Expository Dictionary of NT Words
(a, negative, n, euphonic, hosios, "holy"), "unholy, profane," occurs in 1 Timothy 1:9; 2 Timothy 3:2 . Cp. HOLY. In the Sept., Ezekiel 22:9 .
the neut. of koinos, "common," is translated "an unholy thing" in Hebrews 10:29 . See COMMON , DEFILE , C, UNCLEAN , A, No. 2.
