Feathers

Wilson's Dictionary of Bible Types

Leviticus 1:16 (c) These represent hypocrisy, for the gay feathers of birds, colored and attractive, may hide the true nature of that which is beneath.

Psalm 91:4 (b) They represent the protecting care of GOD over His children as the hen covers her baby chicks.

Ezekiel 17:3, Ezekiel 17:7 (a) This is a picture of the fanciful spread, or gaudy show made by these two kings. They clothed themselves with pomp. The display of beauty and wealth on the outside covered the wickedness of their hearts on the inside.
