Ungodly

Wilson's Dictionary of Bible Types

Psalm 1:1 (b) This word has the same meaning in every place where it is used. The prefix "un" means to be without. Joined to the word "godly," it means that the person, the nation or the subject under consideration is with out GOD. The ungodly person may be beautiful in character, attractive in manner, cultivated, refined and educated, but he is living without GOD. He has no faith in GOD, and may be rebellious toward GOD. He may be quite religious in his outward actions, and yet have no knowledge personally of JESUS CHRIST. Such a person is un-godly.
