Webster's Dictionary

(v. t.) To make dull; to stupefy.

(2):

(v. t.) To pass or spend in drowsiness; as, to doze away one's time.

(3):

(v. i.) To slumber; to sleep lightly; to be in a dull or stupefied condition, as if half asleep; to be drowsy.

(4):

(n.) A light sleep; a drowse.
