Webster's Dictionary

(v. i.) To become an impropriator.

(2):

(a.) Put into the hands of a layman; impropriated.

(3):

(v. t.) To place the profits of (ecclesiastical property) in the hands of a layman for care and disbursement.

(4):

(v. t.) To appropriate to one's self; to assume.
