Jeremiah 40:8; Jeremiah 42:1; apparently identical with Azariah, son of Hoshaiah (Jeremiah 43:2). Associated with Johanan in the flight to Egypt, in spite of God's warning by Jeremiah. JAAZANIAH in 2 Kings 25:23. (See JAAZANIAH.)
