Holman Bible Dictionary
(eh' lab) Place name meaning, “mountain forest” or “fertile.” Probably located at Khirbet el-Macalib on the Mediterranean coast four miles above Tyre. The tribe of Asher could not conquer it (Judges 1:31 ).
